Tamara Zakim, an environmental lawyer at Earthjustice, shares some insights that come with being a real-life defender of mankind and the home we all share.

Tamara Zakim is an environmental champion of the best kind. Wicked smart, uber competitive and deeply passionate about justice. She works as an Attorney for the prominent environmental law organization Earthjustice, renowned to use the power of law to fight for earth and its inhabitants.
Known as “Take ‘em Zakim” on the basketball court during her professional career in Northern Europe she claims bball as her first love. Zakim is a Pomona College and Georgetown University Law Center graduate and now calls Oakland, CA home.
When not protecting justice and modeling for earth friendly ad campaigns, Tamara contributes time and energy to the Pride Law Fund which promotes the legal rights of the LGBTQ and people living with HIV and AIDS, by funding legal services and sponsoring education and outreach.
